Just over a year into his tenure as Husky Energy Inc.'s new president and chief executive officer, Asim Ghosh says the company is well on course to striking a better balance between near-term and long-term goals, and making itself better understood by the market. "We have stabilized production as we said we would. We have sanctioned the Sunrise [oilsands] project," Ghosh says. "We have made major progress towards finalizing the South China Sea gas project. And I think we've got our balance sheets in a position that we can do both the short-term and long-term without compromising the company's financial position."
