Crack-free, weld-over, open-arc hardband for drill pipe tool joints

Patented Guardian CF hardband for application on drill pipe tool joints is announced. It's formulated to deliver characteristics of being a crack-free material which can be welded over other hardbands. Guardian CF provides the ability to be open-arc welded and is said to improve on the outstanding casing wear and tool joint protection of its Guardian HB predecessor. Both casing and tool joint protection are provided along with the crack-free, weld-over, and open-arc advantages.
