New surface logging technologies cut well data sample / view time

Two new surface logging technologies: Dual Flame Ionized Detection (Dual FID) technology high-speed chro-matograph and Live Logging real-time cloud-based system are announced to "dramatically cut the time it takes to sample and view well data." Dual FID Is a 36-second chromatograph to improve on the current industry average of 45 to 60 sec. It provides 100% resolution between components. Its high speed equates to more sampling per foot at a fast rate of penetration. Dual FID helps differentiate laminated sands and low resistivity pay. This allows operators to make quicker decisions - saving time and money.
