GasGun propellant stimulations for oil and gas wells are wireline-conveyed devices based on proprietary U.S.military ballistic technology.The tools employ solid propellant to generate high pressure gas at a rapid rate.The rate is tailored to formation characteristics.It is rapid enough to create multiple fractures-but not so rapid as to pulverize and compact rock,which results from use of such classic high explosives as nitroglycerine.
