Before the Niagaran,Antrim,and Ordovician plays,the Traverse Formation stood just behind the Dundee in the geological petroleum output rankings.There were Traverse wells in Michigan's first commercial oil field at Saginaw in 1925 and the Traverse continues to draw attention of modern oil and gas producer/explorers.But after all the good things are said about the Traverse,it should be added that it's allure can soon be overshadowed by its trickiness in some instances.
