LANSING, Mich.-Sixteen years of the day after moving from downtown Lansing's Stevens T.Mason Building in 1985 to "temporary" offices on Hazel street, the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality's Geological Survey Division, Michigan's Geological Survey Division, Michigan's oldest agency-having been established before Michigan gained statehood in 1837-returns to downtown Lansing offices in early November 2001.
