ECOPETROL SETS 2017 INVESTMENT PLAN

Ecopetrol SA has approved an investment plan of approximately US$3.5 billion for 2017. This plan allocates more than 80% (nearly US$2.85 billion) to profitable exploration and production projects. Exploration and production projects will largely focus on developing key production assets and identifying Colombian onshore and offshore resources, and maintaining the company's position in foreign assets.
