Technologies of manufacturing of metal-bonded diamond composites.

摘要

Metal-bonded diamond composites are widely used in hard metals, stone cutting and drilling applications. The properties of metal-bonded diamond composites depend mainly on the homogeneous distribution of diamond particles in the matrix, the wear resistance of the latter and minimal mutual interaction between diamond particles that lead to damaging. Therefore diamond particles are coated in two stages. At first several micron thick (up to 3 #mu#m) coatings of Cr carbides or carbonitrides - emploing PIRAC. Next, relatively thick (up to 100 #mu#m) Co metal coating, employing electrolytic deposition. The paper presents methods of manufacturing of metal-bonded diamond composites as well as study of structure and properties of the material, produced on the base of Fe-NiB power, that may be applied as a new matrix for metal-diamond composites.
