Rubber manufacturers association forms

The American Association for Rubber Manufacturers, formerly the Elastomer Products Group of the Rubber Manufacturers Association (www.rma.org), held its first meeting in June at the offices of Veyance Technologies. The AARM has hired a management team and set up a board of directors as it spins itself off from the RMA as an independent trade association. Troy Nix from First Resources of Indianopolis, IN, is the executive director of AARM, and the group will be headquartered in Indianapolis. The board of directors includes Jerry Maguire, Veyance; Tim Graham, Rep; Charlie Braun, Custom Rubber; Regan McHale, Eagle Elastomers; Bernard Gregoire, Hamilton Kent; Joel Edwards, Gates; Mike Meyer, BRC Rubber & Plastics; and Kirk Bowman, Carlisle Power Transmission.
