Lanxess confirms 2012 forecasts after 'strong' Q2

Lanxess AG posted profit of 176 million euros ($216 million) on sales of 2.4 billion euros ($2.9 billion) for the second quarter of 2012. For the year-ago period, the specialty chemicals maker reported profit of 181 million euros ($222 million) on sales of 2.2 billion euros ($2.7 billion).
