BASF licenses GLS to offer line of alloyed specialty TPUs

GLS, McHenry, IL, announced a licensing agreement with BASF, Wyandotte, MI, to produce a completely new generation of thermoplastic urethane (TPU) alloys. Marketed under the Versollan TPE alloy treadename, the first product launch will include a new line of high performance rubberized TPUs that offer a rubbery-soft touch, look and feel.Under the agreement, GLS will develop, manufacture and sell specialty high performance thermoplastic elastomer alloys based on thermoplastic urethanes produced by BASF.
