The process of development and industrialisation of a new tile is not only one of the most crucial stages for ceramic companies in terms of production and market but is also one of the most expensive in terms of time, costs and wastage. For example, in the Sassuolo manufacturing district the design and industrialisation of a tile series with a single model and five different colour versions costs on average between 50,000 and 100,000 euro.
