Japan is a relatively small country with a dense population and a high concentration of economic activities We depend on imports for our energy and resources Our country has suffered from severe environmental pollution, as well as oil price surges Given these circumstances, Japan has made every effort to improve energy efficiency and environmental quality for decades I believe that technology development and the long-standing support of citizens are the main driving forces in the fight against climate change.
