摘要

This study established that with waste water irrigation of maize on alluvial and gray-brown desert soils in Egypt, the total content of heavy metals and their mobile compounds increases. However, the content of Zn, Cu, Ni, and Co did not exceed the maximum allowable concentration. Further, Cd and Pb exceeded the maximum allowable concentration during long-term waste water irrigation of alluvial soils.
