IMPROVEMENT OF METHODS AND TECHNICAL MEANS OF STUDYING SEA BUCKTHORN VARIETIES

Some directions in developing methods and technical means of studying sea buckthorn varieties determined by the requirements of further integration of investigations are formulated. A tendency toward complicating problems related to a comprehensive study of sea buckthorn is presently observed. Their complex and systems character is bringing about a new level of integration of works in studying varieties of this plant. It is characterized by an elevation of the level of systematicity of the investigations being carried out, which in turn is necessitating the use of special methodological and technical means, such as systems analysis, modern mathematical methods, and information technologies. In connection with this, researchers of the Research Institute of Siberian Horticultural (NIISS) and Polzunov Altai State Technical University have revealed prospective directions of joint research, four of which are examined in the present work.
