Treatment of sugar beet seeds with growth regulators -- succinic acid and cresacin, microfertilizing compositions containing chelates of copper and boron and compounds of manganese, increased the field germination of the seeds and the intensity of the initial development of the plants, had a positive influence on the water conditions of the plants, increased the area of the leaf surface and the photosynthesizing potential. All this boosted the yield and the sugar content of the root vegetables.
