The automation of the Copper Plant (CP) was initiated in the early 1980s and has passed through several stages, in each of which the monitoring and controlling tasks were resolved with the use of various hardware and software systems - the telemechanics system TM301, the domestic controllers Remikont R-13-0 and Lomikont L-112, and the industrial personal computers that are based on the QNX multi-task operational systems.The automation concept changed significantly by the middle of 1995, when as the result of a tender a choice was made to use a technical programming complex that is produced by Rockwell Automation Allen-Bradley and Rockwell Software.
