摘要

With increase of the graphite content in the hearth blocks from 15 percent to 25 percent:-the strength properties of the block did not degrade;-the thermophysical properties of the block improved (the thermal conductivity increased by 10-15 percent, the electric resistivity decreased by 5-10 percent).To improve the resistance of the blocks with 25 percent graphite to the action of the electrolyte melt, it is necessary to obtain the optimal value of the porosity by changing the granulometric composition of the charge components.With change of the hearth block configuration (slot section 160 X 170 mm) the strength margin of the fabricated cathode sections increases, and because of this the average service life of the electrolyzers increases.
