The results of an investigation into the influence of thermomechanical treatment modes on the structure and anisotropy of the mechanical properties of sheets of BrKh1Tsr chromium-zirconium bronze for the subsequent fabrication of current leads from them by bending are represented. The thermomechanical treatment included water quenching from 980A degrees C, cold rolling with various reduction ratios (16 and 46%), and age hardening at 475A degrees C for 3 h. The results of tests made it possible to determine the empirical dependences of ultimate strength, yield stress and relative elongation of BrKh1Tsr sheets upon the reduction ratio during rolling. It is established that the anisotropy of the rolled metal properties is insignificant and varies weakly at various treatment steps. The average grain size in samples varies inessentially after various treatments and is 41.88-47.50 mu m.
