摘要

The acoustic path for an arbitrarily oriented flat-bottom hole is calculated in the scalar approximation on the basis of an earlier developed method for determining the echo-signal amplitude from a flaw of the flat-bottom-hole type using the Kirchhoff approximation in the far-field zone of identical normal circular transducers. It is shown that the influence of free testing surfaces and a flat-bottom hole on the echo-signal amplitude owing to transformation of longitudinal waves can be taken into account.
