Flicking through the pages on receipt of this book, I was excited straight away by the wealth of imagery that was bursting from its pages. I sat down immediately, eager to digest its contents. A few years ago I heard Susan Halls speak at a symposium about drawing and making - she gave an insightful lecture about her world of drawing as support for her models so that you felt totally absorbed and connected in her thinking and making, both through pencil and clay. I got the same feeling from this book -Halls' illustrative sketches of the pinch pots add to the lively and fresh sketchbook-feel of the techniques she demonstrates.
