Phase Transformations during Annealing of WC–Co Powders

摘要

Phase transformations during the annealing of powders produced by the electrodispersion of WC–Co alloys are considered. All the powders contained various amounts of high-temperature β-WC phase.Eutectoid decomposition β-WC→α-WC + W_2C is found to result first in the formation of needle αWC crystals and then in their destruction due to gliding.
