The rheological behavior of metallic and ceramic materials that exhibit structural superplasticity in contrast to crystalline metallic melts and amorphous materials are analyzed. The rheological state of these materials varies from purely viscous to viscoelastic. The superplasticity at high strain rates and very low values of shear viscosity that is inherent to these materials is believed to an extremely promising feature for the development of new technologies for pressure treatment of metals.
