摘要

This paper covers some aspects of the application of nondestructive testing methods to the diagnostics of nano- and microstructural materials. The questions of improving the resolution of the experimental techniques for the visualization and analysis of nano- and microstructural objects are discussed. The potentials of acoustic methods used to gain information on nano- and microheteroge-neities in inspected objects are demonstrated. The purpose of nondestructive testing (NDT) is the assurance of safe operation for different systems and objects, the opportune detection of defects in materials and products, and the evaluation of their parameters and degree of danger. The application of nanotechnologies dealing with objects of less than several hundred nanometers in size will permit both to enhance the existing NDT techniques and to develop new methods for inspecting materials with nano- and microheterogeneities.
