摘要

An analysis of the influence which individual alloying elements and the chemical composition of powders of high-speed steels have on the characteristics of coatings produced by electromagnetic hard-facing is conducted. It is determined that such coatings possess a heterogeneous and nonequilibrium structure created from the melt that is based on supersaturated solid solutions of the constituent powders in alpha- and gamma-iron as well as alloy carbides. It is explained that the dimension and structure of the zones of the hardened layer depend on the chemical composition of the material of the hard-facing powder and the diffusion mechanism.
