摘要

The results of contact resistance tests of roll steel samples with various levels of near-surface resid- ual compressive stresses are analyzed. A relation between these stresses and the contact resistance is found. Recommendations are made for the formation of rational near-surface residual stresses in the active surfaces of rolls in order to increase their resistance.
