Modern Procedure for Crude Oil Temperature Control with Programmable Logic Controller

摘要

This paper describes and proposes a modern solution for controlling the temperature of crude oil atmospheric distillation in which, a programmable logic controller (PLC) was used instead of the classic proportional integral -derivative (PID) controller. The authors present in details the design of PLC programme together with simulation diagrams that show how the designed control system works. Programming the PLC is done by using a function block diagrams method.
