DISTINCTIONS

The Society embraces all areas of photography;stills,audio visual(digital and transparency),film and video,research,education,the application of photography;and imaging science,for which it offers professionally recognised qualifications.Still photography is the most popular category,followed by audio visual.The Society's first level of Distinction is the Licentiateship(LRPS).This is normally the entry level,and requires sound basic technical skills,and the ability to compose and control the image or medium to communicate.Evidence of a personal style is beneficial but not essential.
