In constructing the electric drives of modern robots, low- and moderate-power switched motors are widely used, largely on account of their controllability and deep dynamic range, as well as their resilience under torque overloads. These properties permit the satisfaction of enhanced requirements on the quality of transient processes and the margin of stability for industrial robot drives.
