Catalytic hydrogenation of alkyne and alkadiene impurities in alkenes. Practical and theoretical aspects

Catalytic systems for selective hydrogenation of highly unsaturated impurities (dienes and alkynes) in hydrocarbon streams are considered. Nano-sized bimetallic catalysts based on palladium or gold are shown to be the most promising catalytic systems. The bibliography includes 162 references.
