摘要

We examine the analytic methods and technologies of the parallel CE (concurrent engineering) design process in the integrated CAD (computer-aided design) systems that are oriented to achieving certain design requirements -specifically, increasing the technological effectiveness of the product. We describe the methodology of the computer-aided design system DFMA (design for manufacturing and assembly) that is directed to optimizing the product with the objective of improving the technological effectiveness and reducing the production costs. We present examples of the use of the DFMA methodology to improve the technological effectiveness of a design from the viewpoint of the assembly technology and the possibility of using the group technology in producing the product or group of products.
