OBITUARY: GRAHAM BURR

Ceramic Review is sad to report the death of ceramic artist Graham Burr, after a long illness. Burr studied fine art at Chelmsford where students were required to learn a craft. Under the watchful eye of Joanna Connell (later Constantinidis) he responded immediately to the tactile, malleable qualities of clay and learnt to throw in record time. At Chelmsford he also met his wife, then a sculpture student, Joan White. They were married in 1954. From Chelmsford, Burr went to study ceramics at Camberwell School of Art.
