Numerous executive operations are performed in high-speed hydraulic machine tools and automatic lines, using bulk hydraulic drives [1]. These operations are accomplished by hydromechanical positioning devices that best meet the requirements regarding the executive operations in machine tools: high power combined with small size and mass; kinematic rigidity; excellent dynamic performance; and the possibility of constructing complex systems by simple means.
