Off-centre nicely describes my perspective on so much that I do. I threw my first pot as a child and was immediately hooked - without doubt the best thing that happened to me in school. I work with ceramic materials every day and consider myself to be a professional maker, but sadly do not spend as much time as potter as I would like. Yes, I am a dentist; and before you groan and quickly turn the page, I would like to draw some parallels between the art of clay, the art of dentistry, and the impact of technology on making.
