ISRL dedicates India's first SR plant

India's first synthetic rubber plant was commissioned at Panipat, in the Indian State of Hariyana, on November 29, 2013, by M Veerappa Moily, Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas. Speaking on the occasion, Moily described this as a milestone achievement by Indian Oil Corporation, which would provide the product E-SBR indigenously resulting in substantial amount of savings of foreign exchange. He congratulated and thanked Marubeni and TSRC for coming to India and joining hands with Indian Oil in setting up the plant in Panipat.
