Given the major developments taking place in the Indian tyre industry in recent years, one would openly admit that the industry is in 'top gear'. Just as a supercharged automobile on a German expressway cruises past many milestones on the wayside, the surging Indian tyre Industry too is leaving behind many growth marks in the form of capacity enhancements, setting up of green-field projects etc. In the past 3-4 years, India has witnessed huge investments in the tyre industry, quite unprecedented in the history of the country.
