After the successful culmination of the three-decade-long war with the LTTE, the Sri Lanka Government is focussing on the economic rebuilding of the island nation. Plantation activities had come to a stop in many places previously held by the LTTE. The Government has now drawn up a scheme to revive cultivation of cash crops like rubber and tea in those areas.
