The role of zeolite in the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis over cobalt-zeolite catalysts

The review deals with the specifics of the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis for the one-stage syncrude production from CO and H-2 in the presence of cobalt zeolite catalytic systems. Different types of bifunctional catalysts (hybrid, composite) combining a Fischer-Tropsch catalyst and zeolite are reviewed. Special attention focuses on the mechanisms of transformations of hydrocarbons produced in the Fischer-Tropsch process on zeolite acid sites under the synthesis conditions.
