Titan to bid for Denman

Titan Tire Corp. has bid US$ 1.47 million to take over the remaining assets of bankrupt tyre maker Denman Tire L.L.C, including idle equipment and some stocks but excluding the real estate. Titan's bid, which is under the consideration of the US Bankruptcy Court, tops a bid of US$ 1.2 million submitted earlier by Cleveland-based rubber machinery broker Soberay & Sons Ltd.
