Tyre stocks gain on rise in auto sales

After falling in the first two months of the calendar year, stocks of tyre companies rose in line with the momentum on the bourses, falling natural rubber prices, favourable policy decisions and rise in vehicles sales across all categories. During the period of February 14, 2014, to April 17, 2014, stocks of tyre companies on the Bombay Stock Exchange increased in the range of 15% to 48%, while Bombay Stock Exchange's benchmark 30-share index increased 11% on positive sentiments.
