India's GDP expanded 4.8% in the three months ended September 30, 2013, compared with 4.4% in the preceding quarter, data released by the Government shows. The growth is spurred by higher output in both industry and agriculture and a reboimd in exports. Agriculture grew 4.6% compared with 2.7% in the first quarter. Electricity production increased 7.7% against 3.7% during the same period.
