NR consumption up 1.4%

ANRPC's total consumption of NR (including rubber-compounds having more than 95% NR-eontent) increased by 1.4% to 6.135 million tonnes during 2011 as compared to the previous year's 6.G48 million tonnes, according to ANRPC report. Revised outlook suggests that the total consumption may rise 2.5% to 6.290 million tonnes during 2012 with a 0.3% growth to 1.395 million tonnes in the first quarter of 2012.
