APEST 2011 focusses on rubber industry coming together on green agenda

The emphasis on sustainability and the increasing awareness about the need for a more coordinated action to achieve it made the 2nd Asia Pacific Elastomer Science and Technology Conference (APEST) and Exhibition a success. While experts highlighted the need for cost-effective, energy saving and "greener" methods of production and processing, there also was an attempt by industry leaders to find ways to strike a balance between environment protection and production excellence. The conference was held in Bangkok during July 19-21.
