Future prospects appear very bright for the tyre retreading industry in India, thanks to factors like growth in vehicle population, rise in prices of new tyres and enhanced quality of retreaded tyres aided by modern technology. But the rising cost of raw materials is pushing many small retreaders out of business Tyre retreading in the commercial vehicle segment in India is poised for big growth. This growth will be fuelled by a number of factors such as rise in prices of tyres, growth in vehicle population, increasing level of radialisation, development of national highways matching international standards and increased share of multi-axle trucks.
