Big rise in Apollo's H1 sales, profit

Apollo Tyres reported 51% rise in consolidated revenue and 22% increase in net profit during the first six months of the financial year 2011-12. Net sales increased to Rs 56.9 billion from Rs 37.7 billion and net profit to Rs 1.5 billion from Rs 1.3 billion. Operating profit was up by 25% at Rs 4.8 billion from nearly Rs 3.9 billion.
