Carlisle completes purchase of roofing maker Hertalan

CHARLOTTE, N.C.—Carlisle Companies Inc. has completed the purchase of Hertalan Holding B.V., a manufacturer of EPDM-based roofing membranes and industrial components. The conclusion of the deal sets the stage for Carlisle to expand the size and capabilities of its single-ply rubber roofing operation in Europe, the company said. Hertalan, which employs about 130, operates plants in Kampen, Netherlands, and Baia Mare, Romania, and has become part of Carlisle's Construction Materials division.
