INORGANIC CHEMICALS: JAPANESE SHIPMENTS FORECAST TO FALL BY 1 percent

According to the Japan Inorganic Chemical Industry Association, domestic production of inorganic chemicals rose by 0.5 percent (to 3.85Mt) in terms of volume and by 8 percent (to Yen 339,400M) in terms of value in FY 2007. Exports increased by 8 percent to 292,000t and imports by 2 percent to 525,000t in the same year.
