I'm based in a studio in London, where in recent times I've been exploring new work that was the result of research for the 2013 exhibition Marking the Line, Ceramic and Architecture. The show was curated by Joanna Bird and it featured myself and three other ceramic artists. Each of us made pieces in response to the life and work of the 18 th century architect Sir John Soane. Creating the work was a challenging process. The exhibition toured to three locations, all of them houses designed by Soane. Each had its own charm and character, and each installation had to work in the very different venues.
