2006 Tucson Gem and Mineral Show

"Oh Canada" is the title of Canada's national anthem. You'll hear that phrase a lot at the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show as visitors admire the many wonderful exhibits keyed to the show theme, Gems and Minerals of Canada. As always, the show, which is known as the "Main Show," is sponsored by the Tucson Gem and Mineral Society (TGMS) and will be held in the Tucson Convention Center. Dates are 9-12 February 2006. Canada's major museums, including the Royal Ontario Museum and the Canadian Museum of Nature, will exhibit their best at the show alone with several other museums from our neighbor to the north. Added to that contingent of Canadian museums are our own Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History, Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History, Houston Museum of Science, and a couple of dozen more of this country's leading gem and mineral institutions. This will be a golden opportunity to see the finest Canadian gems and minerals that North American museums have to offer. One of the exciting features at the show will be new finds of rubies and other gems currently being mined in Canada.
