摘要

A model has been developed for the analysis of the fluid flow in the tundish-mpuld system. A study made with a water model and confirmed at pilot scale has shown that with a precise control of argon injection in the submerged entry nozzle, the risk of nozzle clogging is reduced and the flow disturbances in the mould are avoided. Using this model, the operation of industrial machines could be analyzed and conditions for the suppression of perturbations determined.
